Yesterday we shared a day of awareness and training on cybersecurity with i4life employees thanks to the agreement signed between the University of Oviedo and INCIBE.

On January 24 and 25, the XI Conference on Security and Cyber Defense of the University of Alcalá will be held, organized by the Networks and Intelligent Systems research group of the Department of Automation, the ISDEFE Chair directed by professors from the Department of Computer Science, the Master's Degree in Cybersecurity and the Student Delegations of the Higher Polytechnic School.

The aim of this conference is to promote and disseminate topics related to security and cyber defence in the university environment. To this end, a series of talks related to topics of interest in this field have been scheduled, which will be given on January 24.

January 25 will be dedicated to workshops, which will have a limited capacity and for which UAH students will have priority.

On January 25 and 26, the Microsoft Chair of Privacy and Digital Transformation and the Minsait-U.V. Legaltech & Artificial Intelligence Chair organize the "IV AI & Human Development Meeting. The Economics of AI: The Challenges of the AI Act" at the University of Valencia. This meeting will focus on aspects of economic relevance.

Miguel García-Menéndez, as Member of the Monitoring Committee of the “Castroalonso” Chair of Cybersecurity and Digital Environment at the University of Oviedo, will participate in the presentation “Legal challenges for the construction of infrastructures: data spaces”.

On January 22, the Asturian Family Business Association (AEFAS) will hold a session of the "Shareholders' School" with Deloitte where the particularities of the governing bodies in family businesses will be addressed.

This session will take place at the Santander Work Café in Oviedo and will focus on the role of the Board of Directors and the Family Council as responsible bodies for the management and administration of family and business assets.

The Asturian Family Business Association (AEFAS) organizes on January 19 a day at the Valgrande-Pajares ski station.

Its director, Javier Martínez, will show the new facilities and the economic impact they expect to receive. Ignacio Iglesias, General Director of Companies, SMEs and Entrepreneurs of the Principality of Asturias, will also be present.

Our CEO, Miguel García-Menéndez, will attend next Friday, January 19, the Senior Business Management Program (PADE) 2023-24 organized by the SEPI Foundation at the "Campus Los Peñascales".

On January 18, 2024, from 09:00 to 11:00 hours, a conference will be held at the Auditorium of the Renta4 Foundation, Madrid on, "Family Businesses facing the demands of Corporate Governance: the current moment".

The conference, sponsored by the Family Business Institute, will be an opportunity to explore the innovative strategies and solutions that family businesses can adopt in the new landscape they face.

Miguel García-Menéndez, CEO of Castroalonso, participated in the Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity in Business and Public Administration Conference organized on December 15 at the Jovellanos Building of the University of the Balearic Islands, focusing on the situation of the "PYME" in the face of cybersecurity.
